Houston's progressive/soul artist, OZEAL, packs more flavor than Baskin Robbins. Navigating between poetry and entertainment, he can stimulate your mind while rocking your soul with his irresistible energy. His collage of musical influences are deeply rooted in soul, funk, and hip hop music. He is modern-day troubadour on a mission to be heard so get ready to plug in.

Emerging in 2008, he and his band spearheaded the Houston music scene with an unbelievably entertaining live show. His audience will attest to his dynamic stage prescence and natural ability to engage even the most coy spectator in the room. He conducts a live ensemble, recites poetry, sings, and dances all in one live experience. A rare spectacle to watch, indeed!

The rise and acknowledgment of Ozeal's artistic vision was a result of consistent hard work. In 2008, He opened up for national and international touring acts such as Thavius Beck , Dub Trio, Mixhell, and Hip Hop duo Camp Lo. And, the accolades don't stop there. Ozeal was nominated for best underground Hip Hop artist and best EP in 2009's Houston Press Music Awards. He has performed in Houston's Free Press Block Party, was selected by the Houston Press as "Artist Of The Week" , and performed to a sold-out CD release party which was coined as one of his most memorable live performances.

The release of his debut EP, Joyful Struggle, in early 2009, proved undeniably he was destined to make his mark as an exceptional talent. Joyful Struggle, co-written with his former band, The Eulypians, delivered a full spectrum of live instrumentation, climactic arrangements, and a refreshing sense of individuality. His evident love of poetry and song writing talent can be heard flowing over dirty funk and soulful jazz grooves. The aforementioned EP garnered notable attention and left listeners anticipating his next project.

Now in 2010, Ozeal is poised to achieve greater heights and expand his fan base even more. Sticking to his live instrumental soulfulness, he has a new band comprised of Drums (Mike Duncan), Bassist (Troy Daniels), Keyboardist (Brandon Herron), and Saxaphone (Issac Munoz) A new EP is in the works and is scheduled to be released fall-2010. A National tour will follow.

From operating his promotional company, District Soul Promotions, to exploring his creative freedom beyond the norm. One thing is certain. Ozeal's ambition is insurmountable and his defiant style will undoubtedly satisfy your- mind, body, and soul.
